These freshwater aquatic shrimp sport a black and blue coloration and look great in planted aquariums with a variety of green-toned aquatic plants. With proper care, freshwater shrimp have an average life span of 1-2 years. Most species will readily breed in healthy, freshwater conditions. It is recommended to keep shrimp separate from other species to prevent cross-breeding that typically results in brown, muddled offspring.
